    The 2006 edition of Cheap Eats Toronto has hit the presses and will be lining book shelves around the city some time next week.... The book, also available online, will cost you just under 12 loonies before tax... or approx 2.5 breakfasts. If you're too cheap for even that, check out the Eat & Drink section or search "Cheap Eats" on blogTO.

In fact, even if you don't live in TO, you should get a copy, anyways, just cuz it's the cool thing to do. Oh and you should really get a Cheapeats Ottawa, too. So wander on over to your local bookstore and make them sell you one of each. Now. Stop reading and go. Now. :)

    Jim Munroe, cheapeats & The Gladstone Hotel...

    NomediakingsOn October 30th, Jim Munroe of No Media Kings has invited Plethora Press (aka cheapeats) to join him at Canzine which is taking over the Gladstone Hotel at 1214 Queen St. W. 

    Jim is hosting room 214 to celebrate No Media Kings' 5th anniversary, and has invited cheapeats to join in on his casual DIY Books Meetup from 1:30pm-2:15pm, and his more formal Panel & Think Tank Discussion: Indie Book Distro from 4:30pm-5:15pm.

    Jim will be launching his DVDzine Novel Amusements #5: The Games and Shames Issue with microscreenings at 2:15pm, 3:15pm, and 6:15pm.  Note: the 3:15 showing includes White Pumpkin by Sandy Plotnikoff  (hey, that's JP's bro.)

    Jim is also hosting a panel entitled Are You TOO DIY? and the more casual Digital Video & Games Meetup and Indie Touring Meetup.   For more information and a detailed schedule of Jim's room 214 events check out No Media Kings - Aw, Get A Room!  For more info on  Canzine just click that.
