Grand's Seafood is now River Seafood House with only slight changes that you could easily overlook if you aren't paying attention... or are a little hungover when you show up for dim sum.
Many of the same staff pushing the carts and frying the dim sum goodies. A few new paintings on the wall, no phoenix or dragons anymore. The Fry Station has moved slightly to allow for more space if you are waiting for a table, but that's the most obvious change.
There slightly different dim sum line up, which often happens with a new chef or change in ownership, but nothing major and nothing shocking. We got most of our standards: har gow, char sui bau, shrimp rolls, sticky rice, gai larn with oyster sauce.

We also tried a couple of the steamed seafood dumplings (which were a little too seafood-y, if you know what I mean, but that happens sometimes.)
All in all, if you walked in and didn't notice the updated sign, you probably wouldn't notice that anything much had changed.
We even ran into a couple of friends of CheapEats who were checking out the new name and possibly new kitchen. Care to share your thoughts?
